West Texas HS Basketball Scrimmage

West Texas High School Basketball Super Scrimmage

The West Texas High School Basketball Super Scrimmage is the premier preseason basketball event in the Permian Basin, bringing together some of the region’s top high school programs for a full day of competitive preparation before the official UIL basketball season begins.

Hosted by the Midland Athletic Syndicate, in partnership with the Midland Lee High School Basketball Program and the Midland High School Basketball Program, the event will take place on Saturday, November 7, at the Diamondback Energy Athletic Complex in Midland, Texas.

Designed to simulate the intensity and pace of regular-season competition, the Super Scrimmage provides coaches and student-athletes with an opportunity to evaluate lineups, build team chemistry, and compete against quality opponents in a structured, professionally organized environment. Each participating team is guaranteed three full scrimmages played across six courts throughout the day, allowing athletes to gain valuable live-game experience while preparing for the season ahead.

More than just a day of basketball, the West Texas High School Basketball Super Scrimmage is a celebration of sportsmanship, player development, and community. The event offers an outstanding experience for coaches, athletes, families, officials, and college recruiters by creating an atmosphere that emphasizes competition, growth, and excellence. With multiple games taking place simultaneously, spectators can enjoy nonstop basketball featuring programs from across West Texas and surrounding regions.

The Midland Athletic Syndicate is committed to providing first-class athletic experiences that develop young leaders on and off the court. This event reflects that mission by giving student-athletes a platform to compete at a high level while fostering relationships, teamwork, discipline, and a passion for the game.
