Born and raised in Midland, Trovocie Jackson brings 16+ years of experience as an educator, championship coach, and community leader to the Midland Athletic Syndicate. A proven mentor with 26 college basketball scholarship athletes, 23 Academic All-State honorees, and multiple Coach of the Year awards, his impact goes far beyond the scoreboard. From being the winningest coach in Centennial HS history to serving thousands of youth through community and international outreach, Trovocie’s mission has always been the same: developing athletes, leaders, and people. Husband to Alicia, proud dad to Charli Sofia, and a lifelong advocate for youth sports, this is leadership rooted in purpose.

Daniel Castañeda

Director of Soccer

With more than a decade of leadership experience and deep roots in the Permian Basin, Daniel Castañeda brings vision, structure, and inclusivity to Midland Athletic Syndicate Soccer. A bilingual leader and Founder of Flame FC Soccer Club, Daniel has been instrumental in expanding access to high-quality soccer through youth camps, skills clinics, leagues, futsal programs, and community tournaments. Blending hands-on soccer leadership with a strong background in operations and project management, Daniel excels at building programs that are organized, compliant, and built to scale. His focus is clear: develop technically sound players, strong character, and long-term pathways for athletes at every level. We’re excited to have Daniel leading MAS Soccer and growing the game across West Texas.

With nearly 20 years of elite volleyball experience, Lauren Dennard brings a true 360-degree approach to Midland Athletic Syndicate. A former Head Varsity Coach, program builder, educator, and nationally recognized official, Lauren is known for developing athletes the right way, technically sound, confident, and grounded in character. From rebuilding varsity programs across Texas to earning the USA Volleyball National Silver Whistle Award, Lauren’s impact reaches every level of the game. Her passion for “growing the game” shows through mentorship, coach development, and creating sustainable volleyball pathways rooted in excellence and accountability. Leadership. Integrity. Vision. We’re proud to have Lauren leading MAS Volleyball.

Aida Bakhos

Communications Director

Aida Bakhos brings a rare blend of executive leadership, elite athletic excellence, and strategic communications expertise to the Midland Athletic Syndicate. A U.S. Army veteran, internationally decorated professional basketball player, and global brand ambassador, Aida knows how to lead, represent, and elevate organizations at the highest level. From commanding teams and managing mission-critical operations to winning eight professional league championships, serving as Lebanese League MVP, and captaining a national team, Aida’s career is built on discipline, performance, and impact. Her experience with global brands like Nike, PUMA, and Red Bull strengthens MAS’s storytelling, outreach, and public presence. A Midland native with a global perspective, Aida leads MAS communications with authenticity, precision, and a champion’s mindset.
